The Whisperers is officially creeping their way into The Walking Dead Season 9 and a new teaser just gave us our best look yet at their leader Alpha and her right-hand man Beta.
The teaser opens with brief glimpses at the Alexandrians going about their day, from Carol and Ezekiel walking together hand in hand to Daryl out hunting. The point of view seems to be surrounded by something dark and we later realize why it is so.
A group of Whisperers then enter the picture, walking like zombies and stopping in front of the camera. It is then revealed that we had been seeing Alexandria through the eyes of Alpha and Beta, who are now standing in front of the community's gates.
Alpha quietly eyes her group, who casually draw their knives. At the last moment, Alpha brings her finger to her lips to do another creepy, "Shhhh."
The teaser certainly confirms that the Whisperers are out to get the Alexandrians. Although it might seem bleak, it's great to finally get a good look at Samantha Morton as the creepy leader of the group and Ryan Hurst as her right-hand man. We're certainly looking forward to what Alpha, Beta, and the Whisperers are going to do in The Walking Dead Season 9.
The Whisperers have been a terrifying presence in the comic books but have yet to make an appearance in the AMC series. Nevertheless, there is little doubt that they are well worth the wait.
The second half of The Walking Dead Season 9 will premiere on AMC on February 10.
