New Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Trailer Might Be Released At SDCC 2019

It might still be a long wait for the next trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. There's a possibility that a new teaser for Episode IX will be released during the film's panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

Fans were recently thrilled when director J.J. Abrams unveiled the first trailer for Episode IX, which also revealed the film's official subtitle, at Star Wars Celebration last April. The response to the Rise of Skywalker teaser was certainly enormous, which may have led to Disney and Lucasfilm to wait until another big event before releasing any new footage.

Disney certainly has a huge event coming up this May. There have been reports that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will finally open between May 31st to June 23rd. However, it's highly unlikely that the House of Mouse will release anything related to The Rise of Skywalker during this time other than what's already part of the new Disneyland area. Because of this, Making Star Wars suggests that the next trailer will be unveiled at SDCC 2019 in July.

It has already been confirmed that The Rise of Skywalker will have a panel at SDCC later this year. Hopefully, we'll get more details about the film as well as a new trailer for Episode IX this summer.

The exact date of the Rise of Skywalker panel has not yet been revealed. Nevertheless, we will keep you posted once we get the information.

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 will take place from July 18th to July 21st at the San Diego Convention Center. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled for release on December 20.
