New Justice League Snyder Cut Details Reveal Possible Martian Manhunter Plot Twist

There is a good reason why people are eager to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League. The highly anticipated Snyder Cut of the 2017 film is expected to feature never-before-seen footage as well as abandoned plotlines. Interestingly, it might even reveal a surprising Martian Manhunter plot twist.

The new details were shared by Heroic Hollywood, which suggests that a character who previously appeared in Man of Steel might not be who we think he is. Lieutenant General Calvin Swanwick might actually be a DC comic book superhero in disguise.

"Martian Manhunter might also appear in the film. Snyder revealed that Harry Lennox's General Swanwick was going to be revealed as the hero," the report reads. "The dramatic twist takes place in a scene with Lois and Martha Kent when Martha closes the door and transforms into the Martian Manhunter. He quickly turns back into Swanwick, revealing J'onn J'onzz has been in the DCU from the very beginning."

This sounds awesome considering that fans have been hoping that Martian Manhunter will show up in the DC Extended Universe. In addition to that, actor Harry Lennix has already teased that he was supposed to have a larger role in Justice League. Hopefully, we'll get to see this once the Snyder Cut premieres next year.

Zack Snyder's Justice League, or simply Snyder Cut, has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the director's cut is set to premiere on HBO Max by 2021.
