We already know that Johnny Depp's character is up to no good in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. However, it looks like Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol) is in major trouble in the highly anticipated sequel. In addition to that, there's a possible plot twist involving Nagini (Claudia Kim).
The international trailer for Fantastic Beasts 2 has some interesting new footage from the film. There's a glimpse at how Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) manages to distract the large creature known as the ZouWu. However, the teaser also has a brief shot of Grindelwald using his wand against Queenie, who appears to be in pain and is surrounded by a bright blue light.
So why is Grindelwald torturing Queenie? There are speculations that the villain is trying to get the Legilimens to work for him. It's also possible that Grindelwald has kidnapped Queenie in an effort to get Newt and his friends to join his cause.
Queenie's torture isn't the only shocking thing about the new trailer. There is another short sequence featuring Nagini looking distressed as she thrashes against an unseen assailant. Some believe that Grindelwald may have cast a spell on the Maledictus forcing her to take her snake-form.
There is little doubt that big things will be happening in Fantastic Beasts 2. It has previously been reported that a young Minerva McGonagall will appear in the sequel. The Harry Potter character will be portrayed by Irish actress Fiona Glascott.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will hit theaters on November 16.
