New Daredevil Season 3 Poster Teases Matt Murdock's Jesus Christ Pose

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is going to be a completely different person in Daredevil Season 3. The new poster for the upcoming season reveals the Man Without Fear striking a bloody Jesus Christ pose as he embraces the darkness.

The new poster was revealed on the official Daredevil Twitter account. The image is in the show's trademark red hues and features a dark tagline, "Do not fear the dark. Become it." In addition to that, there's a cryptic caption that offers a glimpse at Matt's current mental state. Take a look at the poster below.

The caption simply says, "Romans 2:8." This is clearly a verse from the Bible, which reads as follows:

"But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger."

It's a message that connects the poster directly to the teaser trailer showing a bloody Matt revealing how evil can truly be defeated. "There's only one true way to end evil. To finish it for good," he says. "Let the devil out."

The poster and the trailer are obvious confirmations of a much darker season later this year. Matt has always struggled with his demons but it looks like he will need to embrace his violently dark persona to face his greatest enemy.

The trailer clearly references Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) who was locked up in the first season but quickly took over the prison in Season 2. Daredevil Season 3 could see Kingpin get released and immediately go after Matt and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) for getting him in jail in the first place.

Both the poster and the trailer reveal that we will be seeing more of Matt before the end of the year. Daredevil Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on October 19.
