Netflix's The I-Land Trailer Blends Lost With Hunger Games And Black Mirror

If you didn't like the way that Lost ended, the new Netflix series The I-Land might explore one of the several endings that you possibly thought of. But with a little of The Hunger Games mixed in and just a pinch of Black Mirror. Or at least, that's what the trailer makes it look like.

The trailer opens with Chase (Natalie Martinez) being interviewed about the first thing she remembered from the simulation. It is then revealed that Chase was on a strange island with several other people who have no memory about what happened to them.

This shouldn't be too bad but it's revealed that the island is actually trying to kill them. It's a battle for survival that may or may not be real.

The trailer certainly has a lot of strange and intriguing questions about what's really happening to these strangers. Are they part of an experiment or are they supposed to be playing a game? Why can't they remember anything before they ended up on the island? Is this real or are they just in the middle of a very immersive VR world?

We don't know much about The I-Land just yet but it certainly looks like what would happen if you put Lost, Battle Royale, and the Black Mirror episode San Junipero in a blender. Perhaps we'll learn more when new details about the series are revealed.

The show also stars Kate Bosworth, Alex Pettyfer, Kyle Schmid, and Gilles Geary. It will begin streaming on Netflix on September 12.
