Netflix Reveals The Haunting Of Hill House Sequel Will Adapt The Turn Of The Screw

(Netflix)

We already know that The Haunting of Hill House is getting a second season but won't be bringing back the Crain family just yet. Nevertheless, it looks like the Netflix anthology series has found a terrifying new novel to adapt and it's set to send chills down your spine.

The official Haunting of Hill House Twitter account has just revealed the new title of the show's highly anticipated second season. Take a look at the tweet below.

The Haunting of Bly Manor will be based on the 1898 Henry James novella The Turn of the Screw that is undoubtedly one of the most famous ghost stories. It follows a young governess who cares for two children at a remote estate which she fears to be haunted. The story has been adapted several times on TV, film, and stage. However, there is little doubt that the Netflix series will give it an interesting new spin.

Hill House creator Mike Flanagan and executive producer Trevor Macy have already signed "a multi-year overall television deal with Netflix" which means that The Haunting of Bly Manor is just the beginning for the anthology series. For now, we are looking forward to what Flanagan and Macy will do to give The Turn of the Screw a modern twist.

But what are the chances that we will be seeing familiar faces in the Hill House sequel? Young actors Violet McGraw and Julian Hilliard seem like the ideal candidates to play Miles and Flora from the novella. It would be great to see either Carla Gugino, Elizabeth Reaser, or Kate Siegel take on the role of the governess as well. For now, we will have to wait for a cast announcement.

The Haunting of Bly Manor will premiere on Netflix in 2020.
