It looks like Disney is refusing to give up on Mulan despite the film's premiere being delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The House of Mouse has just announced the live-action remake's new release date.

The news comes from Comicbook.com, which reports that Disney has decided to release Mulan in July. It is still unclear if this will be the movie's global release date or if the new premiere is only set in North America. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Mulan was initially slated for release on March 27 and there were fears that Disney was going to push through with the Chinese premiere although there were already warnings about COVID-19 in the country. Luckily, the House of Mouse decided to postpone the release.

The synopsis for Mulan reads as follows:

"When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Chinese Army to defend the country from Huns, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. She is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. Disguised as a man by the name of Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her innermost strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into an honored warrior and earn her the respect of a grateful nation...and a proud father."
Mulan stars Yifei Liu as Mulan; Donnie Yen as Commander Tung; Jason Scott Lee as Böri Khan; Yoson An as Cheng Honghui; with Gong Li as Xianniang and Jet Li as the Emperor. The film is scheduled for release on July 24.
