Matt Smith's Mystery Character In Star Wars: Episode IX Possibly Revealed

Just about everything about Star Wars: Episode IX is still a great mystery at this point. However, a new leak may have revealed Matt Smith's mysterious role in the highly anticipated film.

Fans were delighted when Smith was announced to join the cast of Episode IX last year. But who exactly is the Doctor Who star playing in the movie? There have been several theories. However, a new leak shared on Reddit suggests that Smith will be working closely with Adam Driver.

Smith has reportedly been seen dressed as one of the Knights of Ren on the set of Episode IX. The Patient Zero star has been described as wearing dark robes and even wielding a lightsaber. However, the leak has not yet been confirmed so it would be best to take this with a grain of salt.

People have been wondering about the Knights of Ren when they only had a very brief appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Nevertheless, reports have suggested that Kylo Ren's companions will have a larger role to play in Episode IX. This could certainly explain why Smith was brought in to portray one of the Knights.

There is a huge possibility that we will be seeing more elements from The Force Awakens in Episode IX now that J.J. Abrams is in charge. It was previously reported that the sequel will be using deleted scenes featuring Harrison Ford as Han Solo just so fans can see Han, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker together again for the last time.

Star Wars: Episode IX will premiere on December 20.
