Fans are learning more about the infamous Sith Lord in Marvel Comics' Darth Vader #25. Interestingly, the issue may have confirmed a terrible connection between Vader and his own grandson.

Spoilers Ahead! You Have Been Warned!

In Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 25: Fortress Vader, Part VII, the former Anakin Skywalker does everything in his power to resurrect Padme Amidala. He goes as far as crossing the veil of the Force where he tries to find his way to Padme. Unfortunately, his spirit form is stopped by the souls of the Jedi he has previously killed. Without missing a beat, Vader fights them as a voice in his head goads him on. However, the words spoken by the voice are eerily familiar.

The same words were spoken by Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Last Jedi when he and Rey were connected by the Force. However, Kylo adds something heavy at the end of it: "It's the only way to become who you were meant to be."

We already know that the Force is able to connect people in interesting ways. Is it possible that Vader was hearing Kylo as he fought the dead Jedi? Or was Anakin's grandson using the words he heard that were spoken to Vader a long time ago? Either way, it confirms that the two are also connected, something that could be explored in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 25: Fortress Vader, Part VII was released on December 19. Star Wars: Episode IX will hit theaters on December 20, 2019.
