Marvel Studios To Release 8 New Properties Every Year

Marvel Studios might be taking things slow in the upcoming year but that doesn't mean that they don't have big things planned for the future. The studio is currently preparing to release eight major properties in 2021 and this could be a trend in the following years.

2020 is set to be a relatively slow one for Marvel with only two films scheduled for release. Black Widow will premiere in May while The Eternals is expected to hit theaters in November. Between those two releases, the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will stream on Disney+ close to the end of the year.

Although Marvel is taking it slow in 2020, the studio will be churning out more projects in the following year. 2021 will kick off with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in February followed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in May. This will be followed by the still-untitled Spider-Man 3 by July then Thor: Love and Thunder in November. That's already four big movies and we haven't even gotten to the new Marvel shows yet.

Disney+ will be filled with Marvel shows in 2021. Both WandaVision and Loki are expected to premiere early in the year while the animated series What If...? will stream in mid-2021. Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye show is then set to air before the end of the year.

This is truly exciting for Marvel fans who are also expecting the previously announced shows about Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk to premiere in 2022. Although it's still unclear whether all shows and other Marvel films will be released in 2022, there's a good chance that it will happen. For now, we're waiting for an official announcement so stay tuned for more updates.
