There is little doubt that people think we're finally rid of Thanos after the villain was killed in Avengers: Endgame. However, it looks like we haven't seen the last of the Mad Titan just yet. A new report reveals that Marvel Studios might be looking for ways to bring Thanos back in a future movie. Interestingly, the baddie's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe might be a lot sooner than we would like to believe.

In Endgame, Thanos was killed not once but twice. Although the character was killed by Thor in the current timeline, another Thanos showed up later in the film as the Avengers went back in time to collect the Infinity Stones. This leads to the Mad Titan joining them in the future and this time, it's Iron Man who gets rid of him. But is it possible that Thanos will be back for Round 3?

The report from MCU Cosmic reveals that a reliable source confirmed that something is brewing at Marvel Studios where execs are “beginning to talk about some way to have Thanos featured in a movie again in the future.” However, they were quick to point out that this isn't final just yet.

“It’s not definitely happening, it’s just something 'in the cards', but the big purple guy still looms large in their minds. There’s no specific storyline or anything like that mentioned, so I have no idea how it’ll work. But with time travel and the multiverse now a thing in the MCU there are infinite possibilities of how we can see Thanos again,” the report reads.

Perhaps the easiest way to reintroduce Thanos is through one of next year's major MCU flicks. The Eternals could feature a younger version of Thanos but it's best to remember that Josh Brolin has not yet been confirmed to reprise the role. With that in mind, it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
