Marvel Reportedly Planning Valkyrie TV Series Starring Tessa Thompson

It looks like another beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe character could be getting their very own spin-off TV series. A new report has just revealed that Marvel Studios is planning to develop a Valkyrie TV show and Tessa Thompson could reprise her role as Scrapper 142.

According to We Got This Covered, a source has confirmed that Marvel Studios is "looking" to develop a Valkyrie TV series. The report states that this means the idea is being tossed around at the moment and the project is not yet in active development. However, the studio wants to make sure that Thompson will return as the iconic character.

So what will the Valkyrie TV show be all about? The source had somehow confirmed that Valkyrie's fate in Avengers: Endgame will leave the character in "an interesting position" that could pave the way for her own series. Needless to say, we're looking forward to how Valkyrie's storyline will be developed in the MCU flick.

It is still unclear where the new TV series will air but there is a possibility that it could end up joining the lineup of Marvel shows that will be broadcast on Disney+. For now, Disney has only confirmed the Loki series, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and WandaVision.

Although we're still not sure about Valkyrie's future, we can all expect to see Thompson return in Endgame next week.

The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:

"The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26.
