Mark Hamill Shares Hilarious Empire Strikes Back Photo

There is little doubt that Luke Skywalker's vision scene in The Empire Strikes Back was one of the most terrifying moments in Star Wars. It was the first time people got to see Luke confront Darth Vader in the cave in Dagobah only to discover that the face behind the mask was his own. It's a serious moment but Mark Hamill clearly had some trouble keeping a straight face while filming it.

Hamill recently shared an awesome throwback photo from The Empire Strikes Back depicting what happened behind the scenes during the iconic sequence. Take a look at his tweet below.

"If you can't have fun at work, you're in the wrong business," Hamill wrote before adding the hashtag #DarthDoofus.

The image is definitely proof that Hamill is in the right business. In addition to enjoying every moment while filming the Star Wars movies, he also loves trolling his followers on Twitter. Needless to say, we're happy that Hamill will still be a major part of Star Wars: Episode IX.

But just how big is Hamill's role in Episode IX? There have been speculations that Luke will not be a Force ghost in the movie but will actually show up in flashback sequences. It was previously reported that Luke might be sharing some screen time with a young Ben Solo who is just starting his training as a Jedi. However, the information has not yet been confirmed so we would recommend taking this with a grain of salt.

Hamill returns in Star Wars: Episode IX, which hits theaters on December 20.
