Mahershala Ali Reacts To Wesley Snipes' Blade Reboot Message

There is little doubt that everyone is excited about the upcoming Blade reboot that will introduce two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali as the Daywalker. Although Wesley Snipes seemed initially unhappy that he hasn't been called in to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the original Eric Brooks has since praised Ali for the casting. Now the Luke Cage star has reacted to Snipes' comments.

It was previously reported that Snipes has come to terms with the casting and even made sure to praise Ali for taking the role. In turn, Ali paid tribute to Snipes on social media. Take a look at his Instagram post below.

It's certainly not as wordy as Snipes' praise but Ali chose to post the image of Snipes along with the crown emoji. In addition to that, he tagged Snipes in the post. This evidently confirms that Ali considers Snipes the true king and is proud to be following in his footsteps.

Snipes congratulated Ali and even honored the late Stan Lee when he spoke to Comicbook.com.

"Honor and respect to the grandmaster Stan. Congratulations and Salaam to Mahershala Ali, a beautiful and talented artist whose expressions I look forward to experiencing for many years to come. Inshallah, we will someday work together. Most importantly to my loyal fans, the incredible outpouring of love is overwhelming. I am grateful for the never-ending support. So, ‘nah fret nah worry, it's not de end of de story.' Welcome to the Daywalker Klique," Snipes said.

The Blade reboot has not yet been given an official release date.
