Lupita Nyong'o Hypes Up Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker With Surprising Tease

It seems like the cast of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker can't stop hyping up the highly anticipated film. Lupita Nyong'o has just teased on what fans can expect from Episode IX and it's the most surprising description of the movie so far.

Nyong'o recently spoke to Variety, who asked the Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress whether Episode IX would be bittersweet since it is the final film in the Skywalker Saga. The Little Monsters star had a curious response to the question. Check it out below.

"Well, yeah. This one is going to be… interesting. Take it as you will," Nyong'o teased. "I have only that word, honestly. Yeah, I've got nothing else."

There is little doubt that The Rise of Skywalker will be interesting considering that it will bring back Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Sheev Palpatine. After all, the villain is believed to be dead but will somehow return in the movie. In addition to that, Episode IX is expected to reveal the truth about Rey's identity and ultimately provide a proper conclusion for the Skywalker Saga. We're still not sure how director J.J. Abrams will manage to achieve this, but that just makes us want to watch the movie even more.

Nyong'o is expected to reprise her role as Maz Kanata in The Rise of Skywalker although she only had a minor role in The Last Jedi. Hopefully, we'll see Maz in action in Episode IX.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.
