Jurassic World: Dominion Recasts Key Character From Original Movie

Jurassic World: Dominion just got a little more interesting as it teases a major connection to the original film. The upcoming sequel will be bringing back the mysterious villain who met with Dennis Nedry in the first movie and they have chosen an awesome actor to portray the character.

According to Collider, Dominion will feature the return of the man in the red shirt who initially gave Dennis a fake can of shaving cream to store the stolen dinosaur embryo. Of course, that can never made it to the man but it looks like he still managed to get ahead and return to the ongoing storyline.

The report reveals that the mysterious man is actually Lewis Dodgson, a character who had appeared in the Michael Crichton book. Interestingly, Lewis has "been promoted to CEO of Biosyn Genetics, but only time will tell whether the character proves to be the threequel's big villain."

Interestingly, Dodgson was originally played by Cameron Thor in the first movie but the character has since been recast due to the actor being a convicted sex offender. Instead, Dominion has chosen veteran actor Campbell Scott to portray the character in the sequel.

Jurassic World: Dominion is directed by Colin Trevorrow and will bring back Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. For now, filming is still on hold but it is expected to resume production before the end of the year. The movie is still scheduled for release on June 11, 2021.
