John Williams To Resume Work On Star Wars: Episode IX

People who have been concerned about John Williams are in for some great news. The legendary Star Wars composer will soon be ready to resume work on Star Wars: Episode IX.

The good news comes from Williams' close friend Mike Matessino who posted an update on the composer's health on Film Score Board. Matessino confirmed that Williams has fully recovered and is already looking forward to working on Episode IX.

"John's doing just fine. He went to Ginny Mancini's Twelfth Night party last week. Just a few people there... Norman Lear, Quincy Jones, Leslie Bricusse... I don't think he's working on Ep. 9 until the summer; the schedule is still being worked out," Matessino wrote.

It's great to hear that Williams is already well enough to enjoy a play. Needless to say, we are all hoping that the composer will get back to work soon and finish Episode IX's scoring.

Back in October, it was reported that Williams was brought to a hospital in London due to an unidentified illness. This meant that the composer was unable to conduct a concert at the London Symphony Orchestra. In addition to that, Williams was unable to finish work on Episode IX just yet. Nevertheless, there is little doubt that he will continue to astound us with his amazing scoring later this year.

Williams is one of the most important figures in the Star Wars franchise. He has composed most of the music for the Star Wars films except for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Star Wars: Episode IX will premiere on December 20.
