Jared Leto's Morbius The Living Vampire May Have Found Its Martine Bancroft

The Morbius The Living Vampire movie is certainly moving forward and the Jared Leto film may have found its Martine Bancroft. However, from the choice of actress, it looks like Michael Morbius' fiancee will not be a damsel in distress.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pacific Rim: Uprising star Adria Arjona is currently in early talks to join Leto in Morbius. If Arjona accepts the deal, she will play Martine, the doomed girlfriend of Michael Morbius who is the sole reason why he became a vampire in the first place.

Arjona is certainly an interesting choice for the Sony film. After all, the Belko Experiment actress seems capable of handling action sequences without any problem. This could mean that Martine will be more than just a mere love interest in Morbius. Hopefully, Arjona will take on the role and give Leto's character a partner worth fighting for.

Arjona is known for her work in TV shows like Narcos, Person of Interest, and True Detective. She played Dorothy Gale in the short-lived series Emerald City and will portray Anathema Device in Good Omens. However, she is best known for providing the voice of Ramirez in the online video game Fortnite.

Leto has been the only confirmed cast member for Morbius The Living Vampire. The film will be directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. The movie is expected to begin production by February 2019.

Morbius The Living Vampire has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the film is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2020.
