James Wan, Lindsey Beer To Executive Produce Mark Millar's The Magic Order Netflix Series

Netflix is certainly going all out with its comic book series The Magic Order. Just a year after announcing the comics written by Mark Millar, the streaming giant has just confirmed that it will be turned into a series with James Wan and Lindsey Beer coming in as executive producers.

The news was reported by Deadline confirming that the Aquaman director will helm the first episode while the Sierra Burgess Is A Loser writer will serve as showrunner. It is still unclear if Netflix is planning a live-action or animated adaptation of the comic books.

The Magic Order is written by Millar and illustrated by Olivier Coipel. The first six issues of the comic series follow five families of wizards who protects the world from supernatural threats. Unfortunately, a sinister plan appears to be targeting the magicians and they must work together to prevent their own demise.

The official description for the comic series reads as follows:

"We live in a world where we've never seen a monster, and The Magic Order is the reason we sleep safely in our beds. Magic meets the mob in The Magic Order, as five families of magicians—sworn to protect our world for generations—must battle an enemy who's picking them off one by one. By day, they live among us as our neighbors, friends, and co-workers, but by night, they are the sorcerers, magicians, and wizards that protect us from the forces of darkness…unless the darkness gets them first."

There has been no casting news yet for The Magic Order. Stay tuned for more updates in the future.
