Indiana Jones 5: Harrison Ford Confirms Sequel Begins Shooting By Mid-2020

There is little doubt that it's been a truly long wait for Indiana Jones 5. However, Harrison Ford has great news for his fans. The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor is getting ready to begin filming for the sequel in just two short months.

Ford recently spoke to CBS Sunday Morning where he was asked what he felt was the main challenges when returning to beloved roles like Han Solo and Indiana Jones. At first, Ford joked about not wanting to "look silly" by wearing "tight pants and high boots." However, he also stated that he will provide a better answer since he's about to start working on Indiana Jones 5 "in about two months."

"I'm always delighted to come back to these characters," Ford said. "You know, when you have the opportunity to make another, it's because people have enjoyed them. I feel obliged to make sure our efforts are as ambitious as they were when we started."

Ford continued by stating that he has a "sense of responsibility to your customers" who have supported him throughout the years. However, it seems like the one thing that people are truly concerned about is the fact that Indiana Jones 5 will begin production this year.

For now, the premise of the fifth Indiana Jones film is still a mystery. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The still-untitled Indiana Jones 5 could begin filming by April 2020. It is currently scheduled for release on July 9, 2021.
