Haunting of Hill House Star Praises Mike Flanagan's Take on Season 2

The upcoming follow-up to The Haunting of Hill House might be a little confusing for some considering that the series is bringing back actors who appeared in the first season. However, there is little doubt that The Haunting of Bly Manor will be completely different and Oliver Jackson-Cohen credits creator Mike Flanagan for his impressive take on Season 2.

Jackson-Cohen recently spoke to Collider about his new film The Invisible Man but he was also asked about the Netflix series. Interestingly, the Emerald City star admitted that it was odd working on a show that is very different from the first one.

"I have to say, it's quite strange. It was quite strange at the beginning going back because it's Victoria Pedretti and I – we both played twins last year – and so we're back together but we're in Vancouver, we were in Atlanta last year, and it's a completely different crew but it's the same creator," Jackson-Cohen said. "It was very very weird to start off with."

It might be very very weird but Jackson-Cohen confirmed that Flanagan did an excellent job in telling a new story for Season 2.

"It was strange because how do you kind of take a show that was that well received and that loved, how do you do a second version of it? And he's sort of surpassed it. It's quite amazing what he's done with Bly. I go back in about 10 minutes back to Vancouver to go and continue shooting," he said.

It's good to know that things are going well for Bly Manor and we already have high expectations. Hopefully, we'll get a glimpse at what to look forward to in the form of some promo photos or a teaser in the near future.

For now, The Haunting of Bly Manor has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
