There have been a lot of strange things captured by security cameras. But have you seen Dobby walking around like it's nobody's business? Harry Potter fans are freaking out over bizarre security cam footage that seems to show the elf doing a strange dance before magically disappearing.
The footage was found by a woman named Vivian Gomez on her security camera and she immediately shared it on social media in hopes to get some answers. Although it appears like someone is playing a prank on the poor lady, people also couldn't help but notice how the "creature" looks a lot like the Harry Potter character.
It didn't take long before the video went viral and everyone had something to say about Dobby being caught walking around and apparating away on Muggle footage.
Someone tried to point out that it's probably an alien but we're not so convinced. That's definitely Dobby.
Who else would be so happy to be a free elf and get to walk around at night but Dobby?
Some were concerned that J.K. Rowling had revealed a shocking secret about the house elf.
OK, maybe it's Kreacher, but he wasn't as enthusiastic about getting some fresh air.
Overall, it's just nice to know that "Dobby the actor" is still alive and well and popping out in people's security camera footage.
Dobby was first introduced in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as a house elf who tries to stop Harry from going back to Hogwarts. It was later revealed that Dobby was only doing so because he didn't want Harry to get hurt. When Harry tricks Lucius Malfoy into setting Dobby free, he earns the elf's life-long loyalty. Dobby ultimately sacrificed his own life to save Harry and his friends in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.
