Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3: Michael Rooker Could Return As Yondu

The death of Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was certainly one of the most depressing moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Michael Rooker says there is still a chance we will see the Ravager again in the future.

Rooker recently attended the FanX Convention in Salt Lake City where he admitted that he would consider returning as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (via ComicBook.com).

"It depends on how much I got paid," Rooker said. "Of course I would totally love to do it again, it would be awesome."

Rooker's enthusiasm for Yondu's comeback just has one little problem: the character was already killed off in Vol. 2. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that Peter Quill's surrogate daddy will show up in a flashback sequence.

We'll have to wait a little longer to see if Yondu will be back. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently on hold after James Gunn was fired from the project. Vol. 2 actress Michelle Yeoh has recently spoken up about Gunn's firing, saying she is "horrified" that it happened to the director.

"You're talking about things that he said in the archives. If he had said it yesterday, or today, or something like this then you can make a big fuss but why dig up something now? I don't understand at all. It's so unnecessary, what good does it do?"

Marvel and Disney have yet to find a director to take over in the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.
