We have yet to see a full trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 but there have been glimpses at the main characters in the show's previous teasers. Interestingly, a new ad for Bud Light actually brings together two of the scariest beings in Westeros: The Mountain and Drogon.
The Bud Light commercial opens with a kingdom enjoying a jousting match with some beer. Not surprisingly, the knight who has been dubbed the Bud Light Knight asks his assistants to hold his beer. Actually, make that three. When he's good and ready to take on his opponent, the king and queen still cheer him on. However, it looks like he's going up against someone who is truly scary.
The opponent manages to unhorse the Bud Light Knight but isn't satisfied with simply seeing him on his back. As he approaches, it is revealed that the opponent is actually The Mountain from Game of Thrones and he then proceeds to do what he did on Oberyn Martell, much to everyone's horror.
The Mountain isn't the only one who is here to wreak havoc on the kingdom. Enter Drogon, Daenerys Targaryen's beloved dragon, who burns the kingdom to the ground. As everyone flees, the message "For The Throne" appears onscreen.
It's certainly great to see The Mountain and Drogon in the commercial but we're still hoping that HBO will drop a full trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 during Super Bowl 2019. Stay tuned for more updates.
