Game Of Thrones Season 8 Teaser Possibly Revealed How HBO Series Will End

The first official teaser for Game of Thrones Season 8 has just been dropped and although there's no new footage from the HBO series, it still has interesting hints at the future.

The teaser shows ice creeping in and initially covering a direwolf before engulfing a dragon. This is followed by fire surrounding a lion before the two elements clash. However, there appears to be dragon glass keeping the frost from reaching the fire.

It's an interesting teaser that confirms a fight between ice and fire. But did it also reveal how Season 8 will conclude?

There are speculations that the direwolf represents the North. Considering that the White Walkers are coming from North of the Wall, the Starks are bound to be the first to encounter the Night King's army. Unfortunately, this might also mean that Jon Snow will be in trouble.

The dragon undoubtedly stands for Daenerys Targaryen but it might also mean that the Mother of Dragons could lose her children in the battle. Sad to say, there's a possibility that Dany won't fulfill her dream of taking over the Iron Throne.

The fire and the lion is an interesting shot. Does it mean that Daenerys will defeat Cersei Lannister? Or could it represent how the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms will succumb to madness? It's possible that Cersei might somehow burn King's Landing down with wildfire.

The appearance of dragonglass also suggests that the people of Westeros will be protected by the substance. Ultimately, it could be the only thing that can prevent the White Walkers from taking over.

The storyline of the final season is still a great mystery. Nevertheless, the Game of Thrones Season 8 teaser may have revealed that there is hope in the end.

Game of Thrones Season 8 will premiere on HBO in April 2019.
