The Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 promo hints at more tension next week. Although there is little doubt that the focus will be on Jaime Lannister as he arrives in Winterfell, things are also about to get pretty cold between Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark.
In the Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 preview, we see Jaime facing Daenerys at the Great Hall in Winterfell. She has a few choice words for the Kingslayer. "When I was a child, my brother would tell me a bedtime story about the man who murdered our father and all the things we would do to that man."
There is little doubt that Tyrion Lannister is concerned about the welfare of his own brother but that's probably the least of his worries right now. Daenerys and Sansa are once again clashing and their argument is about another powerful woman who is all the way in Kings Landing.
"You never should have trusted Cersei," Dany says to Sansa, who isn't about to let the Mother of Dragons have the last word. "You never should have, either," she shoots back.
All the tension could turn out to be a minor problem later on in the preview. It is revealed that Tormund Giantsbane and his companions have made it out of Last Hearth and have arrived in Winterfell with some truly distressing news.
"How long do we have?" Jon Snow asks him. The answer isn't very hopeful. "Before the sun comes up tomorrow," Tormund reveals.
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 will air on HBO on April 21.
