Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 Finally Reveals The Truth About Jon Snow And Daenerys Targaryen

What's not to love about Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2? There's plenty of reunions, hilarious jokes, sweet moments, and one truly shocking revelation. Interestingly, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms may have confirmed just what will happen to Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen in the final season.

Spoilers Ahead! You Have Been Warned!

In Episode 2, Jon Snow repeatedly avoided Daenerys Targaryen. Who can blame him? In the previous episode, he just found out that they're actually related and that he has a stronger claim to the Iron Throne. We know why Jon is reluctant to tell Dany the truth. After all, it's displayed perfectly in one particular scene.

Daenerys finally reaches out to Sansa Stark following Jorah Mormont's advice. She sits with Sansa and assures her that her feelings for Jon are true and that she has even delayed her quest for the Iron Throne to help them fight the White Walkers.

Although it initially appears that the two have finally become friends, Sansa wonders what will happen when the battle is over. "I take the Iron Throne," Dany replies without hesitation.

That was clearly the wrong answer. "What about the North? It was taken from us, and we took it back, and we said we'd never bow to anyone else again," Sansa says. "What about the North?"

The exchange is cut short but it is clear that Daenerys has not been swayed from her mission. She has every intention to rule Westeros and nothing is going to stop her. Or is there?

In the last few minutes of the episode, Dany joins Jon in the crypts and he tells him the truth in front of Lyanna Stark's statue. Her initial reaction? She questions the validity of the information since it's Jon's friend and brother (cousin) who told him about it. When he insists that he knows it is true, her answer is somewhat surprising: "If it were true, it would make you the last male heir of House Targaryen. You'd have a claim to the Iron Throne."

Oh yes, she went there. Instead of being shocked that she's been doing the dirty with her nephew or being happy that she has family, Dany was just worried that Jon can take the Iron Throne from him.

Dany's reaction may have once again confirmed that love isn't strong enough to make her forget about taking Westeros. It also confirmed that Jon possibly has some intentions of claiming the Iron Throne as well.

It's certainly a major conflict between the two but one that they can't deal with right now. The White Walkers have arrived and it's time to fight.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 will air on HBO on April 28.
