Game Of Thrones: Finn Jones Correctly Predicted Series Finale 4 Years Ago

We all had our predictions of how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end. However, it seems like none of our expectations actually happened in the final season. On the other hand, Loras Tyrell actor Finn Jones may have foreseen the series finale four years ago.

It's no secret that Jones has been a huge fan of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire books for some time so he has a solid idea of how things should play out. But could the Iron Fist star actually be a real Three-Eyed Raven? A 2015 interview with Vulture (via Buzzfeed) reveals Jones' prediction on how Game of Thrones will end is pretty close to what actually happened to Bran Stark.

"So I think ice and fire will go to war, and they will pretty much destroy themselves, and then, like a phoenix out of the fire, Bran and his tree people will grow Westeros back anew," Jones said. "My hope for Westeros is that Bran dissolves the Iron Throne; he gives the power back to the individual realms. Him, his Small Council, which would be Brienne, Tyrion, and maybe some of the Tyrells, because I'm biased."

OK, with the exception of the Children of the Forest working with Bran and the Tyrells surviving, that's rather close. Yes, Bran became king after the defeat of the Night King and Daenerys Targaryen. Yes, Bran sort of gives the North its independence. And yes, Jones also predicted the destruction of the Iron Throne.

"They try to keep the peace after this devastating war has struck Westeros and killed a lot of people. They'd renew and regenerate Westeros and give the power back to the people, rather than keep it. You need to get rid of that Throne. That's what I'd like to see at the end of the series, but that's very utopian. We'll see," he said.

Jones should have just dropped the mic right there. As utopian as his prediction might be, it still happened in the Game of Thrones series finale.

Interestingly, Jones also predicted that the Tyrells and Martells would form an alliance before working with Daenerys. He also thought his character would be disfigured by the Sparrows but he may have seen all these in the Game of Thrones Season 6 script. So there you go, Jones spoiled the sixth season finale AND the series ending.
