Game Of Thrones Fans Have Raised Over $100K For Emilia Clarke's Charity

Daenerys Targaryen may not have taken the Iron Throne in Game of Thrones Season 8 but that doesn't mean she lost everything after the HBO series wrapped in May. Fans from the Reddit community r/Freefolk have given Emilia Clarke a complete win when they raised over $100,000 for her charity.

Although other people were launching petitions to remake Game of Thrones Season 8 or airing their fury over Daenerys' seemingly unexpected villainous turn in the final season, the fans in the Reddit community decided to make a positive move in behalf of Clarke. They created a fundraiser that would benefit SameYou, the actor's charity that aims to help brain injury survivors. The fundraiser was only launched a few weeks ago but has reportedly raised over £100,000 ($127,399.80).

The grand total was revealed by the charity's official Twitter account along with an awesome video of Clarke lip-synching to Tina Turner's Simply The Best. Check it out below.

"The incredible support of Elle Ellaria, @reddit's r/FreeFolk and Emilia's fans worldwide means their campaign has raised over £100,000 for SameYou. Thank you so, so much. As Emilia says, you guys are simply the best!" the caption reads.

It was previously reported that the fundraiser has already collected more than $32,000 soon after it was launched. Needless to say, it's a testament to just how much people love Clarke despite Daenerys being turned into a villain in Game of Thrones Season 8.

Clarke started SameYou after she survived two brain aneurysms while working on the HBO series.
