People are probably struggling with the idea that Game of Thrones is finally over. However, fans can still enjoy one last Sunday with the HBO series. The documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will air tonight and it promises an emotional final look at how the show was created.
The official documentary is directed by Jeanie Finlay and will follow the cast and crew of Game of Thrones as they work on the final season. The Last Watch "delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields, and car-parks of Northern Ireland."
In the official trailer, we get a glimpse of the cast as they sit down for what will be their final read-through of the script together. Not surprisingly, there's a glimpse of Kit Harington trying to hold back tears and an awesome moment as the stars erupt in applause. Needless to say, it's going to be yet another emotional journey for Game of Thrones fans, this time through the eyes of the people behind the series.
The official description of The Last Watch reads as follows:
"Made with unprecedented access, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch is an up-close and personal report from the trenches of production, following the crew and the cast as they contend with extreme weather, punishing deadlines and an ever-excited fandom hungry for spoilers."
