Game Of Thrones: Cersei And Tyrion Are Forced Into A Truce By Unexpected Character

It's no secret that Cersei Lannister despises her brother Tyrion more than anything in the world. This has been clear since Game of Thrones premieres several years ago. However, it looks like the siblings have finally come to a truce. Interestingly, they were actually forced to respect each other by a totally unexpected character.

The video shows Tyrion Lannister trying to get his sister to stop ignoring him. "I only want what's best for Westeros," he tells her. Cersei has a scathing response to this: "And I only want for you to not get what you want."

Tyrion clearly has had enough of her stubbornness. "You see, this is why you don't have any friends." The comment is evidently offensive for Cersei. However, before she could answer, they are interrupted by a clanking sound under the table.

It is then revealed that an armor-clad Elmo has been listening to them and wants to change their moods. Elmo sits down in front of them, introduces himself as "Elmo of Sesame Street," and tells them he thinks that the siblings need to "respect each other."

"When Elmo has a problem with his friends like Abby or Cookie Monster, Elmo doesn't get upset. Elmo listens and learns from what they have to say."

Tyrion clearly likes this idea. "If we stop fighting and work together, we can be stronger," he says. He then turns to Cersei and tells her, "I'm willing to listen and learn if you are."

Elmo then asks Cersei if she would "try to listen and understand what Mr. Tyrion is saying." She has a surprising answer. "I can try," she admits.

The response pleases the puppet. "Trying is a great way to start," Elmo says. This is when Tyrion proposes "a toast to our new red friend." But perhaps Elmo doesn't quite get it. "Oh yummy, Elmo loves toast!" he declares. The video concludes with a message: "Respect brings us together."

The video is actually a promo for Sesame Street and HBO and probably has nothing to do with how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end. However, we're now wary that Elmo might pop up in the drama series and scold Cersei and Tyrion for not playing nice.

Game of Thrones Season 8 airs on HBO every Sunday nights.
