Game Of Thrones Cast Says Goodbye To Fans And The Show In Emotional Video

It's hard to say goodbye to a show that has been part of your life for almost a decade. Nevertheless, the cast of Game of Thrones bravely reminisced about their days working on the HBO series as they bid farewell to their characters in a truly emotional video.

Isaac Hempstead Wright starts by thanking fans "for coming along on this extraordinary journey." Emilia Clarke extends her gratitude to "all the people I don't know" who actually allowed the cast to "keep playing these games and keep telling these stories."

John Bradley is evidently humbled by the trust viewers gave him with his character Samwell Tarly, someone that book readers have "known for over 20 years." Meanwhile, Kristofer Hivju is quick to admit that he "loved playing Tormund" and that being a part of Game of Thrones "has been a life-changing experience."

Gwendoline Christie has an interesting confession. She revealed that she didn't expect fans to like Brienne of Tarth. "I was certainly prepared for people not to," she admits.

Clarke also credits fans for "giving me an identity that I didn't' have" when she played Daenerys Targaryen while Maisie Williams didn't expect that the series would have the number of fans it attracted in its eight seasons. Not surprisingly, Wright points out that fans played a huge role in driving the story forward with rumors and theories and Game of Thrones viewing parties during the show's run.

Sophie Turner credits fans for "keeping it alive" although the show takes a hiatus while they were filming. In the end, Hivju leaves us with a bittersweet message: "Everything has to end, even Game of Thrones."

Game of Thrones concluded on May 19 but there is little doubt that the show will live on in the hearts of its fans around the world.
