Game Of Thrones Actually Spoiled The Series Ending In Season 1 Poster

There is little doubt that Game of Thrones is big on foreshadowing the fate of its characters. However, it looks like the show may have spoiled what will happen in the final season right from the start. The first iconic poster for the HBO series had actually revealed how it would end.

In the Game of Thrones series finale, the most unexpected character ended up on the Iron Throne. After Cersei Lannister has an entire castle collapse on top of her, Daenerys Targaryen was killed and Jon Snow was arrested for her murder. This left Westeros without a ruler. However, the lords of the country came together to elect a new king (or queen) and Tyrion Lannister convinced everyone that Bran Stark is the best person for the job.

You didn't see that coming? You probably missed the first Game of Thrones poster ever released. The image, which features Ned Stark sitting on the Iron Throne, happens to be accompanied by a raven. As in, the Three-Eyed Raven.

So was this foreshadowing or something else entirely? You can't really see if the raven perched on the Iron Throne has three eyes and ravens are a pretty important part of the first season. After all, everyone used ravens to send letters and it seemed like everyone was sending ravens in Season 1. Either way, it's a cool image that may or may not be a huge spoiler, if we only knew what it meant.

Although Game of Thrones is over, a documentary about the show's final season is set to air on HBO during its timeslot on May 26.
