In case you missed it, The Eternals has finally begun production and the first set photos from the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film have just been revealed. Interestingly, our first look at the new MCU flick reveals Angelina Jolie as Thena and it looks like she might have some major spoilers in her hands.
The set photos were shared by Daily Mail and it shows Jolie in a blonde wig and a white dress. While it's great to see that she is looking every inch like the Eternal she will portray, the pictures also feature Jolie throwing some ashes into a lake. You can check them out here.
So what could this all mean? There are speculations that Thena might lose a loved one early on in the film. On the other hand, the scene might be from a later part of the movie after the Eternals have to face an enemy and some of them might not survive.
The photos also show director Chloe Zhao taking control of the shot, which involves several crew members. However, Jolie appears to be the only cast member being filmed.
It's great to know that production for The Eternals is finally underway and we can't wait to see more of Jolie's Thena soon.
The Eternals also stars Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Gemma Chan, and Kit Harington. The film is scheduled for release on November 6, 2020.
