Finn Jones Reacts To Iron Fist Season 3 Cancellation

It's official: Iron Fist Season 3 has been canceled. Interestingly, Finn Jones has somehow said goodbye to Danny Rand in an emotional statement.

Netflix and Disney have issued a joint statement confirming that "Marvel's Iron Fist will not return for a third season." Nevertheless, the announcement declared that "the Immortal Iron Fist will live on."

So does this mean we will still see Danny in other Netflix shows? Jones' own announcement on Instagram seems to suggest that he is officially stepping away from the role. Take a look at his post below.

Jones wrote, "I have an enormous amount of love and respect for everyone involved with the last two seasons of this show. Defending the greatest city in the world amongst the most talented and warmest people has been a privilege and a joy. Blessed to have taken this journey and grateful for the ongoing support."

It certainly sounds like Jones is done with being the least popular Defender in New York. Although Iron Fist wasn't as well-received as Daredevil or Jessica Jones, Danny could still be a possible addition to Luke Cage since the two heroes had an interesting dynamic in The Defenders. Unfortunately, it looks like Heroes for Hire will not be happening anytime soon.

Although Jones has already issued a statement, Jessica Henwick has kept quiet about the Iron Fist cancellation. Could this mean we could still see Colleen Wing in the other Marvel shows? Let's hope that the female Iron Fist will be making an appearance in the near future.

The next Marvel series Daredevil Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on October 19.
