Fantastic Beasts 3 Reportedly Pushing Through with Production Start Despite Coronavirus Outbreak

It seems like everything is cancelled at this point due to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). This includes just about every major event and production that was scheduled for the next few months. On the other hand, it looks like Warner Bros. isn't too worried about one particular project. It has just been revealed that Fantastic Beasts 3 is set to start filming next week despite several other shutdowns due to the pandemic.

The revelation comes from Variety's Justin Kroll, who tweeted about the studio's plans with its upcoming films. Interestingly, the thread confirmed that the still-untitled third Fantastic Beasts movie is expected to begin production on Monday, March 16.

Fantastic Beasts 3 isn't the only major Warner Bros. production that is expected to push through despite the shutdowns. It was previously reported that The Batmanwill continue filming although other projects are being halted.

Not surprisingly, fans have joked about Fantastic Beasts 3 still being filmed amidst the COVID-19 scare. Some have pointed out that wizards aren't bothered by the virus. On the other hand, that didn't stop rumors from spreading about Daniel Radcliffe being sick with the disease.

It was previously reported that a fake BBC Twitter account revealed that the former Harry Potter star had been one of the celebrities who tested positive for the virus. However, Radcliffe clarified that he wasn't even aware of the rumors and offered a hilarious reason why he was targeted by the fake account.

"I think it's just because I look ill all the time, so you can believably say it about me," Radcliffe joked, "' Cause I'm very pale."

Luckily, that has been cleared up. In the meantime, Fantastic Beasts 3 will begin production next week.
