Dwayne Johnson Addresses Jungle Cruise Premiere Delay with Hopeful Message

The Coronavirus outbreak has already delayed the premiere of several films this year. However, it looks like Jungle Cruise is the one movie that is getting a lengthy pushback. Disney has decided that the upcoming Emily Blunt film will premiere more than a year than originally scheduled. Nevertheless, Dwayne Johnson remains hopeful despite the long delay.

Johnson took to his official Instagram account to post a video about the news. Interestingly, his message about Jungle Cruise is refreshingly hopeful. Watch the video below.

"Our @disneystudios JUNGLE CRUISE is officially pushed by one year to be released JULY 30, 2021," Johnson wrote. "I feel great and bullish about this date as it gives us time for Disney to be fully operational in all their businesses - theme parks, hotels, cruise ships, but more importantly, it gives the world time to bounce back to living confidently, productively and joyously once again."

The former WWF champion also expressed his gratitude to Disney and fans who are waiting for the film. "Thank you, Disney leadership team. And thank you to all the fans worldwide. The movie will be worth the wait. Stay healthy, my friends," he wrote.

We're disappointed that we won't be able to see Jungle Cruise immediately after the COVID-19 quarantine is over. Nevertheless, we're already looking forward to being able to watch it at a better time next year.

Jungle Cruise is scheduled for release on July 30, 2021.
