There is little doubt that Donald Glover totally stole the show as Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story. So is it possible that we'll be seeing more of the Atlanta star as the beloved space pirate really soon? New reports claim that Glover might reprise his role in a possible Disney+ series.
According to We Got This Covered, sources have confirmed that Lucasfilm has plans of producing spin-off shows focusing on Solo characters. One of these possible Disney+ shows will follow Glover's young Lando while the second one could star Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke as Han Solo's beloved Qi'ra. The projects are still in their early stages so plot details have not yet been revealed.
The Lando series sounds like a promising one considering that we still don't know much about the former Millennium Falcon captain before he met Han. Hopefully, his show will show us how Lando ended up being a con artist during his early years. Meanwhile, the Qi'ra series might explore events after Solo as she rises in the ranks in Crimson Dawn. Also, it's an excellent excuse to bring back Darth Maul, right?
Although we're hoping that the Lando and Qi'ra series will actually feature Glover and Clarke, it's highly unlikely that both actors will find time to reprise their roles considering their busy schedule. For now, we're keeping our fingers crossed on both spin-offs. In the meantime, we'll get to see the original Lando Billy Dee Williams in Star Wars: Episode IX this December.
Another awesome Solo character who might deserve their own Disney+ series would be Enfys Nest. The Cloud Riders leader was also a scene stealer in Solo and we wouldn't mind learning how she went from an innocent girl to leading a gang of pirates. However, this particular project hasn't been confirmed just yet.
Disney+ has already confirmed a spin-off series featuring Diego Luna's Captain Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
