Doctor Strange 2: Scarlet Witch Might Be The Villain In The Multiverse Of Madness

The idea of Scarlet Witch working with the Sorcerer Supreme is certainly an intriguing yet exciting one. However, there are also several theories about what could happen in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. For instance, some believe that Wanda Maximoff could end up being the villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

Wanda certainly had a rocky start in the MCU. She and her brother Pietro Maximoff were initially introduced as the bad guys in Avengers: Age of Ultron but they quickly switched sides once they realized that Ultron intended to destroy humanity. Since then, Wanda struggled to find her place with the Avengers and ultimately found love in The Vision. But could things go bad again now that Vision is no longer around to help her control her powers?

A new theory suggests that Scarlet Witch herself will be THE Multiverse of Madness in Doctor Strange 2. After all, Wanda has always been a bit mad in the comic books. As Screenrant points out, this is displayed perfectly when she became pregnant with Vision's children although the android is incapable of reproduction. When it was revealed that the children were actually just part of her imagination, the Avengers erased Wanda's memories of their birth.

Unfortunately, things went crazy when Wanda remembered her children. This led to Doctor Strange having to face Scarlet Witch. Could this be the storyline that will be followed in Doctor Strange 2? Although it would be a terrifying yet interesting idea, it is important to point out that this is just based on theory and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled for release on May 7, 2021.
