Disney Head Confirms Tom Hiddleston Will Play Loki In Disney+ Series

Your savior is here! Tom Hiddleston has been confirmed to play the God of Mischief in the highly anticipated Loki series on Disney+.

It has already been confirmed that Hiddleston is attached to the Loki series. However, there have been rumors that the Avengers: Infinity War star will only serve as the show's narrator and that the God of Mischief will be portrayed by a younger actor. Luckily, Alan Horn has clarified Hiddleston's role in the Disney+ series.

The Walt Disney Studios chairman told The Hollywood Reporter that Hiddleston is taking the lead role in the show when asked about the shows that will be produced for Disney+.

"The quality of the idea and the piece itself will drive whether we can make it or not. Sean [Bailey, Walt Disney Studios production president] may have three or four a year that he can contribute, and Marvel has a few things — we're doing [a series] with Tom Hiddleston playing the Loki character," Horn said.

This is certainly a relief for fans who are hoping that Hiddleston will return as Loki in the series. After all, people were heartbroken when the God of Mischief was killed by Thanos in Infinity War. Needless to say, we are all looking forward to seeing Hiddleston reprise his iconic role soon.

The premise of the Loki series has previously been teased to be an interesting history lesson. The show will reportedly follow the God of Mischief as he "pops up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events."

It is still unclear if Loki will be back in Avengers: Endgame. For now, we can rest assured that we haven't seen the last of the trickster just yet.
