Did Morbius Star Tyrese Gibson Just Confirm an MCU Crossover?

The first trailer for Morbius is finally here and fans are already wondering if the Jared Leto film will be somehow connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But is it possible that Tyrese Gibson had already confirmed the connection even before the trailer was dropped?

Gibson recently posted a new video on his official Instagram account announcing that the Morbius trailer will be dropped soon. However, one of the hashtags he used in the post may have confirmed the MCU connection. Check it out below.

"M O R B I U S • T R A I L E R • 1 H O U R AWAY!!!! Evil is amongst us!!!!" Gibson wrote before adding the hashtags #DarkClouds, #MARVEL, #MCU, #SONY, and #Crossover.

That's right, he put all those hashtags together and fans are now freaking out. We're not sure if this just means that Gibson was being very enthusiastic about the movie or there is a crossover to look forward to. However, there happens to be a huge clue in the trailer itself.

The synopsis for Morbius reads as follows:

"One of Marvel's most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease."

Morbius hits theaters on July 31.
