Damon Lindelof's Watchmen Confirms Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross For Musical Score

There hasn't been a lot of updates about the Watchmen series but that doesn't mean things aren't going well for the HBO show. Damon Lindelof's upcoming project has just nabbed the award-winning duo of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for its musical score.

Reznor confirmed on his official Instagram account that he and Ross will be working on the highly anticipated series based on the Alan Moore comics. The Nine Inch Nails frontman gushed over the opportunity to work with Lindelof and somehow revealed that he begged to be a part of the series. Take a look at his post below.

"We are very excited and proud to be working with @damonlindelof & @HBO on WATCHMEN," Reznor wrote. He then added a lengthy admission that he had to edit the caption several times to remove his declaration of love for the director and the comic book.

"Oh yeah, and the part where I confess to reaching out to everyone involved with this series asking them to let us do the music. Trying to play it cool here BUT EXCITED!" Reznor concluded. Needless to say, he isn't the only one thrilled with the new project. The post has earned more than 35,000 likes.

The idea of Reznor and Ross creating music for Watchmen is certainly the best thing that has happened to the show so far. The duo has already won an Oscar for their work on The Social Network as well as a Grammy for the soundtrack of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. There is little doubt that the two will provide the right ambiance for Lindelof's new series.

Watchmen will star Regina King, Louis Gossett Jr., Don Johnson, Jeremy Irons, Tom Mison, Tim Blake Nelson, Adelaide Clemens, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The series is set to premiere in 2019.
