DC Universe Possibly Being Shut Down with HBO Max as New Replacement

There is little doubt that DC Universe was a huge thing when the streaming service was launched back in 2018. After all, it was the only place where fans could watch shows like Titans, Swamp Thing, and Doom Patrol. But is it possible that Warner Bros. is quietly planning to shut down the service and replace it with HBO Max?

The speculations come from fans who have noticed how certain shows have changed their display names on social media. For instance, the page for the Harley Quinn series went from "DC Universe's Harley Quinn" to simply "DC's Harley Quinn".

It's interesting to note that the changes were made at exactly the same time although Warner Bros. has not yet made anything official. There is also a possibility that the change was made since both shows are currently available both on DC Universe and HBO Max.

But is something truly up at Warner Bros.? Comicbook.com reports that DC Universe actually ended its annual subscription package for its users back in July. Some even believe that handling two different services might be too much for the studio and that one will have to be shut down. With that in mind, it may only be a matter of time before an announcement is made.

For now, Doom Patrol Season 2 is still streaming on DC Universe while the other shows are available on both of Warner Bros.'s streaming apps. However, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if it is also made available on HBO Max.
