Epic Games has just unveiled the announcement trailer for Fortnite X Batman, the awesome new crossover that will bring the Dark Knight into the game. It's an amazing crossover indeed and nobody's happier about it than DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee.
Lee confirmed that the crossover was something that has been planned as a major surprise for fans on Batman Day (via Comicbook.com). The DC Comics boss also confirmed that it coincides with the Caped Crusader's anniversary.
"It's the 80th anniversary of the Dark Knight, and we wanted to do something extra special for fans all around the world for Batman Day," Lee said. "I can't imagine anything bigger than letting the legions of Fortnite players take on the cowl and enter the world of Gotham City via Tilted Towers! Epic Games has really outdone themselves in bringing the world of Batman to Battle Royale!"
In addition to being able to play as Batman, fans can also get their hands on the Catwoman skin that comes with the crossover.
Fortnite X Batman is just one of several ways that fans can celebrate Batman Day. Although we wouldn't stop you from trying one or both of the Batman skins on Fortnite, there are other awesome events happening around the globe. For instance, the Bat-Signal will be shone in major cities like Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, and New York. But hey, we won't judge you if you prefer to stay at home and play all day.
