Crisis on Infinite Earths Trailer Teases at Hopeless Battle Against Time

The gigantic Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths has a new trailer and it looks like things are going to be hopeless for the DC heroes this December.

The trailer opens with a grim message: "There was no hope for this world." We also see Barry Allen telling Iris West that it's time for him to die. But wait, it gets even more depressing as everyone seems to be losing hope and simply accepting that their world is coming to an end.

Supergirl witnesses the destruction of an entire universe and she's clearly shaken by what she sees. "Every second another earth dies," Barry tells Oliver Queen. This should be enough for the heroes to gather together and fight whatever is coming to destroy them, right?

Luckily, there are a few hopeful shots in the trailer. We get to see the adorable Kent baby as well as a terse reminder from Bruce Wayne himself: "Battle not with monsters unless you become a monster." Honestly, we're just thrilled to see Kevin Conroy here so that counts as hopeful.

There's a lot of teasers for the major battle and we're really rooting for everyone this time. Let's just hope that Barry doesn't mess it up again this time, shall we?

Crisis on Infinite Earths will take place in six different episodes from Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Batwoman, Black Lightning, and Legends of Tomorrow. It kicks off with the Supergirl episode Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One, which premieres on The CW on December 8.
