Chris Evans Finally Addresses Possible Return as Captain America

There is little doubt that people are still holding on to hope that Chris Evans will eventually return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and continue to portray Steve Rogers. So what are the chances that the Avengers: Endgame star will be back as Captain America? Evans has finally addressed the issue once and for all.

Evans was recently a guest on the Graham Norton Show where he was asked if he would be willing to reprise his role as Cap in another MCU flick. Interestingly, the Knives Out star stated that it wouldn't be a good idea considering that Steve's story already had a great conclusion in Endgame.

"It was a great run and we went out on such a high note that it would be risky to revisit it in my opinion. It was such a good experience and I think it's better left that way," Evans said.

This is sad news for fans who were hoping that Steve could still return in the future. On the other hand, this should give Evans more time to work on different projects while the MCU continues to introduce new characters.

Steve might be the one character who has appeared in the most MCU films. In addition to the Captain America movies, he has popped up in Thor: The Dark World and Spider-Man: Homecoming. We're truly going to miss having Evans around but we're also excited to meet the new characters who will be introduced in the MCU.

What do you think of Evans not returning as Captain America? Should he come back for one more MCU flick? Sound off in the comments below.
