Captain Marvel Clip Reveals How Nick Fury, Agent Coulson First Encounter Carol Danvers

We already know that Nick Fury and Agent Phil Coulson will be working with Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel. But how exactly do the SHIELD agents end up on the case? A new clip from the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick might reveal how the dream team came to be.

Brie Larson shared the awesome Captain Marvel clip on her official Twitter account. The 45-second video features an extended train scene where Carol fights a man presumed to be a Skrull.

The Captain Marvel clip opens with Carol and the man struggling on top of a train. The Skrull manages to throw Carol back but also gets a jolt when he touches a pantograph. In the meantime, Fury and Coulson are chasing after the train in their own vehicle.

Carol once again engages the Skrull and gets tossed off the train. Luckily, she manages to hang on but a piece of the train falls on Fury's car. Coulson is clearly worried about the woman as he points out that the train is going into a tunnel. Fury declares that they should change routes and greet the fighters at the station.

By the time Carol gets back on top of the train, the Skrull is gone and the train is almost in the tunnel. She uses her Kree powers and blasts a huge portion of the tunnel before creating a hole on the roof and jumping back into the train.

It's certainly an action-packed clip but does it also reveal how Fury and Coulson first see Carol? Although some believe that the video shows the agents trying to help Captain Marvel, it's possible that they were called to investigate and have no idea what they are dealing with. Interestingly, the train scene could extend to the memorable sequence where Carol walks into the train and suddenly attacks a little old lady who might be the Skrull she previously encountered taking on a different shape.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8.
