Captain Marvel: Annette Bening Teases Mystery Role With Possible Spoilers

Annette Bening's role in Captain Marvel continues to be a mystery. However, the award-winning actress has just teased on who she will be playing in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

Bening was recently a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live where it was suggested that she doesn't take part in many action scenes in her movies. Interestingly, the Captain Marvel star revealed that she filmed an action sequence in the MCU movie but admitted she "can't give anything away."

Bening quickly stated that she would need to contact the studio just to confirm what she is allowed to say. Nevertheless, she admitted that she enjoyed working on the film.

"All I can tell you is that it is as much fun as you would imagine it could be. At least it was for me," Bening said. "It was so much fun, and I can't tell you why because then it would give something away. It was like when you're a little kid and you imagine what it would be like to be in a superhero movie, that's what it was like."

It certainly sounds like Bening will be playing more than just a maternal character in Captain Marvel. Although there have been speculations that she will portray Carol Danvers' mother Marie in the movie, it is possible that she could be going up against some bad guys herself. There's also a possibility that Bening might be one of the villains in the film.

Fans have been looking into the first Captain Marvel trailer that debuted this week but there was no sign of Bening in the teaser. Nevertheless, Bening might appear in another trailer soon. Hopefully, we'll learn more about her character in the next few weeks.

Catch Bening and her mysterious character when Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
