Captain America Possibly Predicted Tony Stark's Avengers: Endgame Fate In Age Of Ultron

There is little doubt that Avengers: Endgame could mean the end for most of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe today. But is it possible that Captain America already predicted what will happen to Tony Stark and himself in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

A theory posted on Reddit humorously points out that Thanos took a page from Clint Barton's book when he chooses to live on a farm and lead a simple life in Avengers: Infinity War. Interestingly, the post somehow pointed out that Tony and Steve Rogers actually discussed how life would be after they dealt with a major threat.

In Age of Ultron, Tony muses about his retirement. "Maybe I should take a page out of Barton's book. Build Pepper a farm, hope nobody blows it up," he says. "The simple life," Steve concurs, to which Tony answers, "You'll get there one day." It is then that Steve admits he is no longer interested in settling down to raise a family. "The guy who wanted all that went in the ice 75 years ago," he says. "I think someone else came out."

The scene is certainly a touching one but it could also be a hint at what will happen in Endgame. Is it possible that Captain America will ultimately sacrifice himself to make sure Tony gets to build Pepper Potts a farm and live the simple life? We'll find out for sure this April.

Avengers: Endgame is set to be the final film featuring Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. as Captain America and Iron Man. The movie will hit theaters on April 26.
